Glen Johnson Overpriced??

Liverpool manager,Rafael Benitez was criticised for his decision to splash out £18m on his new signing,Glen Johnson. Some critics said Glen Johnson's price was too expensive for a player of his calibre.

Somehow,I think the statement sounds 'irrational'.Glen has everything to become the best right back in England and he has even established himself in the England squad recently.

Here's a video of him.(to the critics)

Glen Johnson Man of The Match vs Andorra
video

0:07 His creative vision created chances for Frank Lampard to shoot.

0:20 His beautiful cross reaches Wayne Rooney to head into goal from close range.

0:37 A much better stepover than Ronaldo before he coolly passed the ball to Walcott before Walcott passed to Lampard to slot the ball into the net.

0:57 He received the ball well and crossed for Rooney to bang the ball straight into goal.

1:24 He dribbled GRACEFULLY past one player before sending the ball to Defoe to score England's 4th goal.

Proven. He fits the price well. The best right back in England. No doubt.A class above any other right defenders.

That's all.Comments are warmly welcomed.

Star in The Making

Manchester United seems set for a swoop of Gremio starlet Douglas Costa, his agent reported. This 18-years-olds' talent was scouted by United's scout network as a replacement for Ronaldo.I wonder whether he is the right man? Can this lad live up to the expectation?

Let's figure it out.

Name:Douglas Costa
Club:Gremio

No.32

video

He looked to own a pair or fast foot and powerful shot.An interesting talent.Looking forward for him to be playing in England.

He is just one of the rising talents in Brazil- alongside Keirrison,Nilmar,Thiago Neves and others who are considered as Brazilian soccer's hot properties.

Name : Nilmar Club : Internacional
Corinthians (LOAN)

He's wearing no.9
video

Great technical ability.Fast and strong on both feet.Likes to go past people with his dribbling skills.

Name : Thiago Neves
Club : Al Hilal
Fluminense (LOAN)

video

Great dribbling skills.Pacy.Holds on the ball too long though.

Which starlet do u love to see in action?

European Transfer : Another Perspective(Part 1)

The transfer market's getting crazier.Insane.

You see, world-breaking record.British record fee.Highest ever paid player. Not to mention Ronaldo and Kaka's mega deal to Real Madrid, the mid-table clubs around Europe did also have a busy summer .

Forget about that. These players : Did they made the right move?Or did they just stepped into the doom of their career?Let's see from one to another.

1. Gareth Barry to Manchester City

What a coup from Mark Hughes. He got his man and it was a really wise purchase.Very wise.

Last campaign,City added several good players to their rank but they lacked a leader to conduct their game.A proven leader.Great vision, tackles, goal scorers. And that's what Barry is made of.A perfect partner for Kompany at the heart of their midfield.

Prediction : A huge success.Expecting a strong finish to the season for the Eastland club.

2.Kaka to Real Madrid.

I consider his move rather than Ronaldo's move as more important.Ronaldo adds up flair to the team, but Kaka has more to offer. He will be the creative force of the team, playing the "Stevie G's role" behind their striker(gonna be David Villa,I think). His run, driving force was what Real lacked last season. They did have a dribbler in Robben,a goal poacher in Nistelrooy but they were too 'soft' in midfield.

No creativity.Often outmuscled in midfield. Now,they got the solution.Another wise purchase.

Prediction :Kaka to rock the La Liga and ends Barca's reign.A success.

3.Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea

A wrong step to apppoint this former Milan boss to guide the team. He's not a master tactician nor an expert in man management. He relied on his already established star studded Milan team to achieve success. What Chelsea need just now is a personality of Guus Hiddink.Tactical genius, wise approach to the players and have proven records in turning small team's fortune.

Prediction : Failure.Chelsea to continue their 'tradition' of sacking managers.

Still more to come on transfer windows..PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT.

Transfer Freedom for Ferguson

The Glazer family has reassured Alex Ferguson over the transfer policy even though the club's debt mountained in recent months. With this in mind,it promises a summer spending spree for Man United. Here are a few potential targets who could be purchased using funds from Ronaldo's sale.

1. Franck Ribery-Bayern Munchen
A perfect replacement for Ronaldo.Good at dribbling.Dazzling skills.Got some pace to burn.Provides more teamwork than Ronaldo.Strong enough to compete with big EPL centre backs.

but..

Less impressive goal amounts.Bad behaviour on and off the pitch.Face's not sweet as Ronaldo to get the girls crazy.(Who cares anyway?)

2. Luis Antonio Valencia-Wigan

People recognized his talent after World Cup 2006.A series of great performance for Ecuador convinced Wigan to splash some cash on him.Helped Wigan achieve mid-table position in the league.I've seen some of his videos and I rate him as a future star of football.A wonderkid.

Pacy,dribbles well.Super powerful shot.

but...

Bad heading.Unimpressive amount of goals.Doesnt have tricks to entertain.

3.Samuel Eto'o-Barcelona

A great finisher.Hell speedy, fast, pacy.Good header.Proven goal scorers. What else do you expect from a perfect striker of his calibre?

He should fit in well with English game as Drogba and the other African players did.No doubt. Will be a great signing for any team.

but..

Fergie needs to compete with several other interested parties.Especially,Liverpool and the 'big club' wannabe,Manchester City for his signing.
